The modular furniture is called SHENG. It’s a Chinese word meaning birth, generating and growing. It corresponds
well with our concept: the furniture contains a sort of vitality and it starts with a simple form, generating
and transform itself for endless usage.
The idea comes from the beautiful landscape in the national park, mountain, trees and the traditional
pitched houses… The triangle form is a good representation of this area, it has a structural stability and
great compositive flexibility as well. Considering the wood cabinet making tradition, we decided to use
mortise and tendon joint, to make this furniture as simple as possible.

The furniture has a strong characteristic of overall simplicity. All the pieces are the same, triangle forms, made of beech wood, lightly rubbed
using wire wool, finished with Osmo polyx-oil, jointed together by small wood cylinders, without any steel screw added. A single piece can be
produced in less than one hour with the traditional techniques. Like this, it facilitates the goods shipping process, occupies less space, and is
fungible in the case of damage.
The appearance is a crucial part of this furniture design. It’s strong graphical outlook draws people’s attention to test the chair or play with it.

这个作品是由三角形结构组成的模式块家具，名为“生”，寓意生长，产生和成长，这个概念与我们的家具概念相一致，用简单的结构衍生出多种造型和多种功能。
想法来自于美丽的国家公园，高山，树林和传统的房屋.....三角形的元素贯穿其中，因为三角是一种坚固的并且稳定性很强的结构。这个方案的家具是用木材做成，运用中国传统的贸隼结构和LEGO玩具元素组成的简单三角体，没有任何钉子和螺丝，全由木块一气呵成！针对市场的不同需求，亦可运用其他材质，例如塑料等轻便型材质！
三个主构件都是中空的,为了减轻单体的重量,便于掌握每个组件，并且还可作为容器使用。
细节经过精确计算，左图小构件的切口是三角主构件连接槽的深度。
皮带是为了更好的固定组合家具的同时令家具更显高品质和注重细节。
此家具具有灵活多变性等特点，如茶几，餐桌，躺椅，书柜，座椅等等， 可以根据不用用途组建不同的家具，可置于室内，亦可置于室外空间，适用于不同人群和不同场合，这种模式化更能让人们的生活空间更加丰富和灵活！
此家具单片造型简洁美观，可以是木材做成，亦可是塑料材质一次成型，这种单片占用空间少，运输方便，而且在单片损坏的情况下可及时替换。
外观是此家具设计的重要特点，简洁而可爱的外部造型会吸引人们接触它，组建它，在组建的过程中能够感受到模式家具的魅力！激发人们的
兴致！
